Here are a couple of videos of the osprey nest. In the first one, the 3 youngsters are exercising their wings. In the next, a second adult bird lands in the nest, probably the daddy with a fish for the young. I can't figure out how to embed the videos full size. If you right click and choose "watch on youtube", you can see a larger version.
Neat video. I am just learning (teaching myself, a long slow not too painful exercise) how to do video and place it on my blog. Thanks for the inspiration to keep at it.

Great videos!!! To be in those incredible surroundings, can only imagine how beautiful it must have been.
ReplyDeleteThat is just amazing! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou could work for National Geographic....
ReplyDeleteVery cool videos.
ReplyDeleteNice videos, but it is odd -- I am so used to seeing ospreys in the wet, green environment of Florida that I have a hard time envisioning them in the dry environment of the West.
ReplyDeleteLove it, we saw a few nests last year in Florida. Your Yellowstone pics bring back happy memories of my trip there and to the Grand Tetons a few years ago!
ReplyDeleteI am always in awe of the beauty you capture & share with us, Janie. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWould you be so kind to leave a comment on my BLOG ONLY, for the Miracle Makeover fund drive. Charlie, 8 yr. old, & his story are fabulous. Every comment brings us a $1 for the next person that will be sponsored.

Whoa, Janie, that's quite a comment by Anonymous. He really has quite a wealth of information to share. I've had my spam filter catch most of those, but sometimes something gets through. Amazing video by the way. Is that with your Sony?
ReplyDeleteImpressive is an understatement.. Wow! I appreciate your sharing these awesome videos.
ReplyDeleteHappy trails Janie and Steve,
Pam
Spent the weekend camped on the Madison R, watching "fish-eagles" swoop past--great birds.
ReplyDeleteI think this is the same nest we watched and photographed. The more I learn about osprey, the more I wish they were our national bird! I had no idea that eagles steal fish right from them.
