What's more ideal than swimming in an algae filled water trough,
sitting one's muddy self in a damp patch of marsh marigolds,
digging for rodents,
smelling lots of elk, (Can you see Daisy lifting her head to see and smell above the sage?)
spotting a trickster coyote,
and giving it a merry chase. Fortunately, she did not come close to catching it.
Wow! We've been threatening to do some riding up there. Looks fantastic! Gorgeous pics. Most definitely a 4 star day. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting day you and Daisy had on the trails. She had a good chase after Wile E coyote.
ReplyDeleteNice coat on the coyote. I saw a pack of coyotes the other day that looked very thin compared to the one pictured.
ReplyDeleteDaisy looks happy sitting on the marsh marigolds!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad Daisy -- and both of you -- had such a great day. It looks like a great place for a ride (and a swim and a chase).
ReplyDeleteGreat adventure. Daisy seems to be enjoying herself. The pics of the elk & coyotes are marvelous.
ReplyDeleteDaisy is quite the entertainer. (Didn't the coyote know she just wanted to "play?")
ReplyDeletethat Daisy . . . she's one pretty gal that knows how to have a good time.
ReplyDeleteHooray for Daisy!!!! She has a wonderful life, doesn't she?????? Wish all of us humans could have a life like that!!!!! ha

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...how cute is that??? Oh, wait, not the algae but the rest of it. SO glad the coyote is faster than her!

Wonderful! A perfect day for a perfect Labrador. If there's water to be found a Labrador will find it:-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous area! You'll have to take us there, if it's somewhere that's good for hiking too. Really cool picture of Daisy chasing the coyote!
ReplyDeleteOh, to be as spontaneous ad Daisy. You sure found a crop of Marsh Marigolds!
ReplyDeleteinteresting for me to see your countryside..so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove this post!! Thanks :) Though i would have starting freaking out a little bit when she started chasing the coyote!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a life to be a dog! I enjoyed Daisy's fun-filled day.
ReplyDeleteThat does look like a great day for Daisy!
ReplyDeleteInteresting, relatively few calves to cows in that elk herd? Are there a lot of black bears in the area (primary calf predator)?
ReplyDeleteHooray for Daisy! And I'm glad you and Steve had a super day too.
ReplyDeleteIt's a Daisy Day. I'm also glad she didn't catch the coyote.
