The Taylor Mountain Road provides access to some of the prettiest meadows around.
We ride past springs, fenced and piped to a trough to keep the cattle from tromping the marshy area where the water comes out of the earth.
We ride down quiet, aspen-lined lanes (the leaves are just coming out at about 8000 ft.)
over hills covered in wildflowers,
and through open country with views of the Uinta Mountains.
Yet another great ride. Especially like the lane through Aspen.
ReplyDeleteI too like the aspen lane shot. I hope you go back this fall so we can see the aspens in color. And the wildflower shot...like some little kid splattered fingerpaints on a photo. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. INCREDIBLE wildflowers against perfect scenery. And that aspen lined trail...I would love nothing better than to run down there:)
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful.
That aspen lane is really neat looking, you need to get a pic of it when all the leaves come in!
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful: It really paints a portrait of a slice of paradise that before your blog nobody ever saw. Not to worry, we won't be trammeling it anytime soon. For one, I can't ride a horse!
ReplyDeleteWow! Love those hills covered with wildflowers. Love the floral header too. Jan, there is something to watch in the post. Hope it will get there safe! It's a souvenir something that will signify it's from me.
ReplyDeleteNice ride! Looks like your lupines ("blue bonnets") are in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful. Where is all your snow? I here you still have about 400% of normal. Isn't it great to be out in the mountains again?
ReplyDeleteI love my virtual rides with you. The last time I got on a horse was in Ireland over 30 years ago.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. That looks like Lawrence of Arabia in the top one.
ReplyDeleteI also love the lane through the aspens.
Thanks for sharing.
Lush looking and green. I love it.:)
ReplyDeleteOh those beautiful wildflowers...and they are wild!!! :) gorgeous. Happy Father's day to Steve!
ReplyDeleteI love the wildflowers they are so pretty...
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. I think I can almost smell the fresh spring air.
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely ride! I don't know if I could live anywhere again where I am not surrounded by BLM/forest service land or wilderness. I am soooo lucky to have spent so much time in the West!
