Some days it's hard to tell the season.
Irrigation water is running, indicating the start of spring runoff, but the spray ices the grass each morning.
The birds are wearing bright breeding colors. Surely the frosty mornings won't be with us much longer.
*I've been away for a few days and I'm still trying to get back in the swing of things. I'll be back to regular posting and visiting soon.
It is slow coming this year.
ReplyDeleteIt is extremely slow this year. But it sure does make for some beautiful captures! And the birds have lovely coats on:)
ReplyDeleteEverything just changed here in the last couple of days. Now we finally have leaves on almost every tree. Small leaves, but leaves nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteIt always seems to happen all at once.
Oh my, Janie. Those shots of the icicles are amazing. And the birds are surely heralding the spring for you. Have a great weekend. Jo
ReplyDeletePoor birds! It's impossible for them to halt their instincts until the weather improves. The ice does make pretty pictures, though.
ReplyDeleteWe wake each morning to the sound of wind machines warming the orchards nearby (by circulating and mixing the warmer air into the colder.)
ReplyDeleteThe ice is surprising and beautiful! I love the colorful little birds. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have done such a beautiful job with these pictures--nice to see what you and Steve and up to...Nancy
ReplyDeleteAWESOME captures, Janie. What is the name of that little red fella? He visits us regularly here, too.
ReplyDeleteSo love that ice, excellent pics. Spring is still trying to stay in season here ...
Have a beautiful PS weekend.
TTFN ~

Those ice shots are cool (no pun intended). I am just happy not to be in such cold temperatures that produce such great shots.
ReplyDeleteThe ice shots are very interesting, but I can't believe water is spraying if it is still freezing. Hopefully you warm up soon!
ReplyDeleteSpring looks a little chilly where you are.
ReplyDeleteColder than here, but not by too much. Cooler birds though, or else I just have failed to notice them around my house?
ReplyDeleteWow - ice! Those shots are pure magic - the ice looks like diamonds. But I'm sure everyone and everything wants spring to burst forth...
ReplyDeleteSure does make for pretty pictures though....
ReplyDeleteLove those birdies.
xo
Ack, that is a lot of ice! What we'd expect to see in February here.
ReplyDeleteHa! Spring? A friend reminded me today that last year it snowed here in Ontario on Mother's Day. Spring warmth sure can be elusive!
ReplyDeleteI'm liking your blog more and more. Terrific work! (Why did you cut down posts per page to two? - Was there a reason?)
