The dark and light contrast on the Wasatch Mountains warned of inclement weather last Sunday, but some of us still enjoyed looking up:
The next day brought alternating drizzle and sun. The mountains sported a confectioner's sugar dusting on top, yet the Salt Lake Valley remained green:
By Wednesday morning, we had snow!
Wow! And Beautiful. To think we're still in summer mode here in south Florida ... (sigh).
ReplyDeleteThe picture with your grand-daughter is adorable. Your weather is certainly variable, but the scenery is always beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting week in weather all right. And then today it was warm again. That picture really makes Munchies eyes look blue. Evo takes some good pics. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's your deck railing? Man, when it snows it snows! We've had hardly any snow the last few years. We had a dusting a few weeks ago, but finally got a couple inches today. Looks much prettier out although I was enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteBoy I guess it did snow. Please keep it up your way. We don't need it down here. Thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteHow neat, Janie.... Your grandchild is gorgeous!!! What a cute picture....
ReplyDeleteSNOW???? Mercy Me..... We may have our first freeze tonight --but no snow in our forecast....
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
The shadow the storm cast on the mountains looks amazing, especially since the sun was still out where you were!
ReplyDeleteWow, what beautiful blue eyes! Oh, and the snow is pretty too. But you can keep it.
ReplyDeleteOh that little one is a darling. And so outdoorsy! Your weather is certainly different from ours. We're having summer months now! Have a great weekend, Janie. Blessings from Jo
ReplyDeleteAnd as Miss adorable looks up the heavens look down and bless her sweet face.
ReplyDeleteSnow is a delightful sight I don't get to enjoy in person any more.
Please make a snow angel for me.. Thanks for sharing the beauty, Janie
Oh my goodness, so many lovely photos...even the ominous skies are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love that baby doll!
Beautiful photos! Especially your granddaughter. :)
ReplyDeleteOh - the eyes on that little one! Your dark clouds did portend the coming snow. We have started our base here in the mountains - we won't see ground until sometime in May. I scattered my wildflower seeds on top of the snow this AM. It's my foolproof method for summer blooms.
ReplyDeleteI just love the scenery up your way, no matter what time of year. It's always beautiful! Very cute/sweet capture of your daughter and grandbaby. =) No snow for us yet, but we are having nighttime temps around the freezing mark. It won't be long.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend.
Beautiful pictures as always Janie. If you have time please have a look at the magazine my son is editing. Thank you. PULSEmagazine
ReplyDeleteWhat marvellous snowy shots! We had snow about ten days ago too. Only lasted a day though.
ReplyDeletelove your little one "looking up". The stormy skies have provided a beautiful contrast to the color hasn't it?
ReplyDeleteWow Janie, these are gorgeous!! I am so excited for winter! We just got back from Thailand a couple weeks ago; enjoyed the warm weather there, but I'm ready for snow now :)
