A hawk glides over aspens.
And then there are 3.
No matter where I point the camera, an abundance of birds are playing in the wind.
Finally I see this hawk land. I only have my 4X zoom, but I sneak close enough to get a photo before he flies.
great capture! don't you wish sometimes you could drift on the currents of wind just like those beautiful birds?
ReplyDeleteWell, shot!!
ReplyDeleteOn my commute, I would see as many as a dozen hawks--sometimes soaring, but ussually watching from the highest poitn on the highest tree in their area (even if sometimes the tree was a light pole.)
Hi Janie, Love that gorgeous blue sky, the hawks and those colorful aspens. WOW---those are fabulous pictures, especially the first one.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
Just in time! You managed a few awesome shots!
ReplyDelete- Pixellicious Photos
It is lovely to capture all those birds...on camera...there must be something about September, or the blue of the sky; they seem to be so happy flying free...I would be too!
ReplyDeleteVery nice captures of the birds. I've seen a lot of hawks lately, but no decent photos. They are always too far away.
ReplyDeleteI could feel the thermals under my wings -- simply amazing.
ReplyDeleteLove your blue skies! You can see the raptors so well against them.
ReplyDeleteHi Janie

Janie, great shots of the hawks in flight. Nice to see a grop together. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI must of missed these..I can't believe the contrast with the blue sky.. the Raptor (glad this can be enlarged) against these lighter softer october leaves on the tree..then perched on that tree- awesome!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be wonderful to soar on the thermals into those beautiful blue skies with the hawks? Beautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of the hawks, and such a lovely clear blue sky, the trees are interesting in that one has leaves that almost looks pink, but they are probably yellow and then the tree on the bottom shot is quite bare.
ReplyDeleteThe weather looks fine and the sky is blue!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely sight! Thanks for these.
ReplyDeleteYou got great pictures of the hawks. Is it my imagination or is the sky bluer in Utah than in some of the other states?
ReplyDeleteThey are so majestic when they fly. Beautiful shots, Janie. Thanks for sharing...
