The Circle of Life

Thank you so much, blogger friends, for the many kind words, thoughts and prayers that you sent our way after Steve's mother's death.
We mourned her passing with family and friends, and celebrated her life as well.  Steve's brother has been choir master at their church for 20 years, and an overflowing choir loft sent forth angelic music in her honor.  Steve, his sister Nancy, and my son Eric shared some special memories.  She would have loved it all.
Above is a photo of Steve, our sons, and Steve's dad.
On the way home, we stopped to visit with my very pregnant daughter.  Soon we will welcome a new baby into our family.  The circle of life goes on.
The photo above is of the Wasatch front with the oaks and maples still sporting the beauty of autumn.  Happy weekend, everyone.

  3. Hi Janie, The circle of life does continue. We're on the road heading back toward TN after attending my brother's Memorial Service in Jacksonville, FL this morning.

My brother was smiling down I'm sure since we sat around and told lots of joyful stories about him and the family. It was truly a celebration,

Great pictures. I love the picture of Steve, his Dad and your two sons. NEAT!!!

    Welcome back. We missed you.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  4. It's weird how that works, that circle. When we were at Gary's mom's funeral, so was her newest great-grandchild only weeks old. Tess looks so cute! Glad you are back.

I'm glad you enjoyed your time with family. Here is a little thought I found.

"I still miss those I loved who are no longer with me
but I find I am grateful for having loved them."

  14. Beautiful country ... and family. Time flies and there never seems to be enough time, but then I look at the minute hands on the clock and sometimes they moved so slowly!

And yes we had a fairly good time in Utah although if there is a recession we certainly didn't see it there. Bumper to Bumper people at Zion.
