Flying High

Grandpa's styrofoam airplane attracts a crowd:
 He patiently demonstrates technique:
Grandson #1 quickly masters the skill:
Grandson #2 is working on it:
And, of course, Dad gets into the act.  Observe his high perch, his statuesque form.  He sends the plane sailing through the air, out across the open ...
Well , darn!  Who put that tree in the way?

  4. HA HA HA Janie.... those darn trees do have a habit of getting in the way, don't they???? Reminded me of the times when my sons would build airplanes and then fly them RIGHT into the top of a tree..... Oh Well!!!!

    Hope they got it DOWN....
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  5. That is a great shot of grandpa looking as if a statue. Lucky for you, the grandchildren are happy with simple toys like the airplane. My two grandson's (6&7) get all these high tech electronic gadgets - Ipod, flip-camera, some type of gizmo game for the TV, inline skates (they will grow out of before summer arrives) and on and on. I refuse to go that route with them. I made them both scooters (they're on my blog). I think by now they know what to expect from grandpa.

  17. Hilarious sequence, especially with the "not so surprising" ending. Isn't that always the case. Really terrific photos. I'd always given the scenery too much credit it your previous adventures, but now I can see you have an eye for detail and capturing the moment. :^)

  18. Grandpa is a kid magnet I suspect. What a glider! I need one. I don't know where I'd fly it.
