At the Zoo
It's true! It's all happening at the zoo!
We've been visiting family and grandkids, and one big event was a stop at the Bronx Zoo.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take species notes, but I believe this is a Wrinkled Hornbill from Malaysia. Look at those long eyelashes!
I don't know how to explain the dented bill.

Who can resist that combination? I think the bird was attracted to pink. It kept following the pink coat and mittens.

The bird seemed puzzled by this pair. Maybe he was disappointed they weren't wearing pink...

It's crazy how much Stella looks like her mom. I can see Seth in there too though. She's such a pretty young lady. And, whatever it's called, that bird is awesome.

ReplyDeleteGosh, you and Steve were really off the beaten path - the Bronx Zoo! Your photos of the exotic bird with the children are special - as though they're communicating through ESP with each other. (Perhaps they were...) Welcome home - is your landscape still as snowy as the Header?
That top picture still looks like a painting to me. And I didn't notice those impressive lashes when you showed me the pics before. Makes me want to visit the zoo soon.
