Exploring paths less traveled
It's crazy how much Stella looks like her mom. I can see Seth in there too though. She's such a pretty young lady. And, whatever it's called, that bird is awesome.
I remember that there are three types of horn bills and the south american type is the most colour among them all.Beautiful image :)
What could be more fun than visiting a zoo with grandkids?!I don't believe I have ever seen a wrinkled hornbill before.
Hi Janie,Gosh, you and Steve were really off the beaten path - the Bronx Zoo! Your photos of the exotic bird with the children are special - as though they're communicating through ESP with each other. (Perhaps they were...) Welcome home - is your landscape still as snowy as the Header?
That top picture still looks like a painting to me. And I didn't notice those impressive lashes when you showed me the pics before. Makes me want to visit the zoo soon.
what cool birds...and adorable grand kids...so glad your getting to enjoy them...
I'm sure your trip was wonderful, I'm glad you're back. I really like your larger pictures. That bird is an interesting species.
Great photos..Looks like your trip was fun.
Cute photos Janie, and how I wish I had eyelashes like those.
Welcome back, Janie.... Sounds like you all had a fabulous holiday season. Cute pictures from the zoo..Hugs,BetsyP.S. Happy New Year
I love zoos and zoos with kids are the best.
I love those bird-lashes!!! I am sure you are loving seeing those kiddos!
Lovely shots! Your granddaughter looks like you. Poor hornbill with the dented bill - maybe it's always been thus.
Although all of your pictures of the bird are fascinating, I really like the pictures where he is checking out your grandchildren. Those pictures are absolutely adorable.
Lovely bird to go so beautifully with the pink coat!! A must for any little girl! (just wait until Tabita sees that!) :-D
Love those eyelashes! I bet your granddaughter liked the attention!
The pretty girl and the pretty bird... you won't find a cuter picture anywhere!
Zoo... the best place for kids!
The eyelashes on the hornbill are amazing! He's so interested in the kids too.
I'm so happy you had the opportunity to visit a zoo with the grandkids. There's no finer experience. Yay for you!
