Even in winter the days seem to pass by swiftly, I agree. I don't spend as much time outdoors but instead spend many hours reading books...exercising my brain, not my body.
These are lovely photos. The colourful skies are beautiful but I envy the pure blue skies right now. :)
Both by day and night.. I envy your majestic views, Janie. Daisy seem to be pointing to something she spotted in the snow.. what ever could it be, maybe a field mouse under the snow.
ahh the simple life of a dog :) When I was little and it was winter and we got infected with the cabin fever--my dad would take us to the sagebrush flats and give each of us kids a stick and a gunny sack and tell us to catch a jack rabbit. When I was older I mentioned to him that I'd figured out that a kid could never run as fast as a jack-rabbit. He grinned and observed, "I know, but you sure had fun trying didn't you?"
We also been having beautiful sunsets and would you believe it??? 70 degrees and more to come. Even started to till the garden a wee bit, LOL just couldn't pass up getting my hands dirty.
Great post, Janie! The second shot is so cool with that perfect lighting and the fence, pretty pretty! Glad to see the pup is having fun in the snow too :)
Hi Janie, WOW---gorgeous pictures of both the sunrise and sunset... That's one thing that we all can love about winter.. The sky scenes are incredible. Hugs, Betsy
Love the evocatively poetic look of your wintertime landscape at dawn and dusk! Some awesome colors on the horizon.

Those are beautiful sunsets in wide open spaces. Now I wonder, why don't dog's feet get cold in the snow.

ReplyDeleteFabulous pictures (as always!) I'm still longing for Spring. The January Thaw always teases us with hope before dumping us right back into the cold!
