Danger!

I wondered if we should worry more about the condition of the sign
or the condition of the bridge.   (Actually, the bridge did worry me.  The horse trailer made the crossing with only inches to spare.)

  1. I don't like bridges so I'd have turned around. Glad you made it across & had a good time, I am sure.

    Have a beautiful & blessed Thanksgiving ~

  2. The sign is more than a little bit scary! And the bridge does look narrow for a horse trailer. Glad you crossed it without incident!

  3. Well, the sign is an interesting 'shot'. Sorry, couldn't help that! I'd be holding back on the bridge, my other half would be saying let's forge ahead :)

  6. Were you outside directing Steve across? That's what I did on a narrow bridge in the Escalante Wilderness - I felt safer out of the van! Beware of target shooters.

  7. Well---somebody had been using that sign for target practice, hadn't they? Yipes!!!!

Glad you made it across that bridge.... George and I have been in similar situations before while searching for waterfalls in the deep woods..

  9. Funny how such an innocent looking bridge can (although not in this case) derail plans to get from Point A to B. Was there a detour if you couldn't fit?

  10. Oh my gosh....that does look like a 'pickle'!

  11. Looks innocent enough. Although I think the same vandal/gunner has been thru my area as well. Jerks!

  12. Glad you were able to get the trailer across the bridge! A bullet-riddled sign is a never welcoming sight, that's for sure.

  13. I always wonder when I see signs shot up about the character of the shooters. Does it never occure to them that the sign is there for a reason, that people may need to read it?
Glad you got in another ride before the weather closed in. The front now headed into California is very cold!

  14. I guess the sign would have been more scary if the bullet holes were made from the opposite direction. Regardless, I'm glad you made it safely across the bridge.

  15. On the bright side, the aerated sign got your attention so you had fair warning that the narrow bridge with a hair-pin turn was dead ahead.

Happy trails to you and Steve,
    be well and safe!
Pet Miss Daisy for me ;)

  16. That bridge would not scare me as you can see what is under it. It is the bridges where you look off to each side and cannot see anything but sky--those are scary.
