Lucinda is thrilled by that last photo. She thinks it might be a long-lost relative. Please ask Daisy to investigate...She is not as thrilled by the snake!
Oh My.....That Daisy has to be loving all of the critters in the desert... Dumb question ---but do dogs know the difference in a poisonous and non-poisonous snake???? Since Daisy is sniffing that snake, what if it were a mean one that tried to bite her???? I'm sure she knows the difference.
That jackrabbit has such big ears!!!! Great picture.
The snake looks like a braided whip. A big, fat gopher whip. Daisy is lucky the weather kept it slowed down enough to be investigated. Amazing shot of the jackrabbit. You caught him in just the right light to show off his big ears.
Liked your previous post about the Steller Jay. They are such a bright, bright blue and the topknot reminds me of Woody Woodpecker.

ReplyDeleteDaisy is one curious dog. funny pics.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these pictures of Daisy and her desert friends. She's obviously never bored on your rides/hikes.
ReplyDeleteThat Jack rabbit is so huge...I do hope he got away safely.
ReplyDeleteCool snake; tell Daisy I said: "good work!"
Oooh, I like that last picture. Such a cute bunny. Hope Daisy wasn't nearby!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! I gotta say that Jackrabbit is so huge that it looks a little scary!
ReplyDeleteJust catching up after Ireland. I can't believe I'm writing this but what a gorgeous snake. And the Green river pics were spectacular!
ReplyDeleteThat Daisy has a MUCH more exciting life than every other dog I know!
ReplyDeleteDaisy is so sweet, always exploring.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if she know which snake is poisonous.
I like the rabbit better than the snake. Much as I abhor snakes, that one is very distinguished looking. I doubt I would have taken a photo though.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's a tough one to look at, nose to nose with a snake! Glad it wasn't poisonous. Jackrabbit had better be on the lookout for Daisy! =)
ReplyDeleteAll snakes, to me as we're not used to them, are creepy but love the jack-rabbit. Wow, those ears--much bigger than those of our hares.
ReplyDeleteno doubt you are having great time. Thanks for sharing some moments with us :)
