On our last ride, Coco experienced a lot of varied terrain.
Here he is, walking over a little ravine with panache:
He's getting a lot of practice crossing water. He takes a careful look:
eases in:
and trots up the other side:
Getting his feet wet doesn't seem so bad any more.
He is adorable. What intelligent caution these animals show.
ReplyDeletegreat photos....
ReplyDeleteThat is so amazing. I've only ridden a horse really once- and that was only because he moved while I was sitting on the saddle!
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad too because we have a gorgeous saddle we inherited from my husband's grandfather. He made custom saddles and Robert Redford has one of them too!
Coco is learning fast, Janie... Steve must be a great teacher!! She seems like a good horse... I'm sure you are glad that you got her..
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. Thanks!
Hugs,
Betsy
Coco is quickly becoming an expert on your rides. Mischief must be a marvelous teacher.
ReplyDeleteRivers and creeks can be tricky, I agree. Have they considered a suspension bridge over that particular spot BTW, it looks sort of congested? :)
ReplyDeleteNever too old to learn. Coco is a fine looking horse.
ReplyDeleteYour rides look so enjoyable!
ReplyDeleteYea for Coco!
ReplyDeleteCoco is a handsome horse. I love his markings.
ReplyDeleteI'm behind--a new horse on the rides.
