Delightful or Disagreeable?

D is
Daisy dipping (in a horse trough):

or
Darling Daisy, thinking we'll be as delighted as she is to bring a delicious deer leg home. Little does she realize, WE think it's downright disgusting!

Definitely desireable, or distinctly dubious?
The delight (or not) depends on doggie vs. dude and dudette's discretion.

  1. This is a delightful D post. I have decided what my D will be--now just to get photos and put it together before Wednesday arrives.

  2. Great post! What is it with labradors (or maybe dogs in general) that the most disgusting things to us are delightful to them. She looks very content with her deer leg.

  10. Daisy is definitely doing her job...being a dog. Ha! If only we humans would just understand. ;-)

  11. She's happy. My daughter has a lab who bathes in the horse trough and this weekend pulled part of a deer carcass through 4-5' of snow and was disappointed we weren't impressed. Nice photos!

  14. Aw, poor Daisy! She really looks like she wants nothing but to please, and can't understand why you guys aren't as thrilled as she expected... Sheba sends a big hug to her and asks if they will get to meet on your/our next trails? I tried to explain the Atlantic Ocean thing to her, but she doesn't care much for obstacles - certainly never takes them into consideration!

  20. LOL! Reminds me of the day The Pirate 'caught' himself a long dead rabbit! Well, he was an old dog and not up to running fast enough to get a live one!

  24. That is too funny with that deer leg in her mouth. She probably thinks she brought the thing down herself. Does she eat the clippings from the horses hooves too. I had a lab retriever that looked just like Daisy... she loved the hooves :-p
