The views to the east toward the Canyonlands Island and the Sky District continued to be magnificent:
No one else was about. Of course, getting there hadn't been easy. Perhaps the sane folks all stayed home.
When our riding day was half over, we saw that we wouldn't reach the end of the old Spur road, which comes to an overlook of the Green River Gorge, so we settled for a mesa-top view of a huge green meadow.
Almost 16 miles of riding was enough for one day. Besides, it was looking like rain, and we wanted to get past our road fill project before it washed out!
The "road" was just as gnarly going out as going in, but the beauty of the landscape made it worthwhile.
