Baby Talk

While our son Eric was visiting, we enjoyed a family hike.  Eric carried his 9 month old niece (our grandbaby). The little munchkin's dad was working and couldn't hike with us that day.
She likes to sleep in her backpack, and she was a little surprised when she woke up and found someone other than her dad or mom carrying her.
After staring for a moment, she decided Eric would do.
Soon after, she was so relaxed that she fell asleep again.
Mom checked and said everythingwas okay with the little one.  We were good to go.

  8. Now that's a good way to go hiking ... especially up hills. And Exhibit A how parents gain super human strength (and sometimes a bad back here and there along the way!).

I carried my daughter on many hikes in a similar backpack.

  10. She is adorable, Janie. Her uncle was doing a great job carrying her.... I cannot believe that she is already 9 months old. Mercy --how time flies...

  12. What a beautiful baby, Janie. And how sweet of Eric to carry her. Our four oldest grandchildren live in the mountains (only just moved out of a caravan last week which was their home while their dad built The Shed, now their home) and the little ones are also carried on their parents backs. The older two seven and four, hike with the adults. Have a wonderful day. (((Hugs))) Jo
