Fresh as a Daisy

Sometimes, through no fault of her own (if you don't count rolling in the dirt), a girl gets somewhat soiled.
But can't you tell she's wanting, willing, waiting to be clean?  Look at her sniff the air.  She's hoping to smell a bubble bath. (or maybe an elk, but we'll give her the benefit of the doubt.)
As soon as she spies a nice spring-fed water trough, she's in!
There's nothing like a cool swim to make your day, especially if you're a lab.

  3. Daisy looks so at home in the water trough. Our lab won't touch water. Tiptoes around mud puddles. Odd dog.

  4. Daisy looks like she was born to swim! Hmmm, she was! Great photos Janie. I housesat a "golden" when I first got back on the island for a week and every time we went for a walk she would lie down in any pool(puddle) of water, clean or dity and she was never eager to move on!!!
    Have a great weekend.

  10. Oh my - a walk's not a walk - a day's not a day without immersion in water:-) We bought a paddling pool for our dogs last year and they just weren't interested . . . pfffft!! A muddy puddle is so much better but not as good as a pond/lake/river. Ahh, Daisy, you certainly are 'hi-lee intelligent' :-)

  17. Daisy's a good dog for sure to clean herself like that ... as long as it isn't the cistern!

  24. Cute series. Good to see her getting dirty and wallowing in horse troughs again. She looks like she's kept up her sleek figure well through a few months of resting up.

  25. Daisy is true to her Lab spirit - save the soap - the colder the water the better I'd guess!
