For the last couple of months, we had only seen this grandbaby on webcam:
So, to remedy that sad situation, we met the Munchkin and her parents at Daniel's Summit Lodge for a hike and some serious grandbaby visiting:
The scenery was grand:
The company was grander:
A western tanager wanted to join the party:
The glacier lilies danced:
The springbeauties smiled:
After a little complaining about the new baby backpack carrier, all was well in Munchkinland, even if the sunscreen was applied a little thick and the sunglasses didn't fit:
What a gorgeous child, Janie.... He is growing so fast. I know you must miss him terribly.
ReplyDeleteGlad that you all could meet at Daniel's Summit. That is a beautiful place also...
I'll bet you and Steve were in 7th Heaven at a gorgeous place like that ---WITH your GRANDSON ...
Hugs,
Betsy
Janie - How special! She's growing like a mountain wildflower herself! She is quite smiley.
ReplyDeleteHe is so cute and adorable Janie. I certainly enjoy this real show.
ReplyDeleteBelated Congratulated Grans! :)
Love all those shots and the skywatch Friday!
The scenery is grand...but oh, that baby is the BEST!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSweet.
Webcams are better than nothing but there is nothing like being there. Glad you got some grandbaby time.
ReplyDeleteShe is such a lovely child - those eyes, so clear and intelligent. Lovely photos - you had a wonderful time :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely child. We can understand your feeling. We can also only see out grandchildren on webcam from Taiwan. They are in DC. I was very happy to be able to spend a few weeks with them this spring. They grow so fast.
ReplyDeleteWhat a LOVELY family outing! And what a nice looking family.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations: That's quality time spent!
ReplyDeleteYou know I've been following that girl since the day Tess made the announcement she was conceived! Adorable.
ReplyDeletePrecious moments in time no amount of money could buy.
ReplyDeleteLucky you, Janie... Treasures for the heart :)
I'm glad you had such a nice time with the munchkin, and what a beautiful little munchkin she is :D. I saw a bunch of glacier lilies up on top of the Manti once. They were blooming right at the edge of the snowcap. I had no idea what they were called, but couldn't get over how delicate and beautiful they were.
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful and fits right in with your hiking family. What a great way to spend time with family.
ReplyDeleteYour grandbaby is a real cutie, but you know that, don't you? I agree that the scenery is gorgeous, but it definitely comes in second on this occasion. I carried my daughter in a backpack like this when she was that age.
ReplyDeleteShe's really growing!! I'm so happy for you that you got to see them!
ReplyDeleteJanie: What a wonderful place to get close to the granddaughter. I love the colors on the bird.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Janie...the scenery is beautiful and that little child is just precious. What fun you had!
ReplyDeleteJanie, you have a precious granddaughter there and a lovely family. The best way to spend some time with family with all this glorious scenery. Super photos!

Beautiful scenery, though I have to say I really like the family photo best! What a cutie your granddaughter is. =D Looks like it was a fun day.
ReplyDeleteShe truly is a cutie, love the pics of her. The hat may not fit, but she wears it well. LOL I'm in the same boat as you, with a new granddaughter in another state, so I'm sure I'll be seeing lots of pics and videos in the months to come. I was there for her birth, and I'm planning my next visit in the fall.
ReplyDeleteI love the scenery at Daniel's Summit, what a perfectly gorgeous place to meet and spend some time. :)
Beautiful faces gorgeous baby! Hugs to all.
