  2. Looks as though they're on the move. Lots of green and growing things to eat now that the snow has melted.

  3. that was a "deer" little post . . .

the only time I hate to see deer is on the highway, especially when it is dark. Very unpredictable critters

  7. Still amaze me to see deer this way. Although, it is now often in some suburb, we have to watch out "deer crossing" at night of some roads. By the way, the local True Value store on Cape Cod, which I went often is located at "Deer Crossing" shopping mall.

  8. I love the deer around here, Janie, but right now--I'm upset with them. Some of them came into our yard during the night last night and ate some of our new rose blossoms. I CRIED today when seeing what had happened... SO---they are on my bad list right now.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  10. Great shot on the top: not a single hoof is touching the turn (or in that case, asphalt). I saw a buck in the swamp just the other day ... a relatively rare sighting. Dear aren't as plentiful down here.

  12. I hope that deer looked both ways before crossing the road. I love the desert wildflowers in you previous post.

  13. I'm glad the deer is quickly crossing the road. :)
I have them in my yard all winter long. They haven't been seen in a few weeks now but I'm hoping some fawns will soon appear.
    Great shots Janie!

  14. Great deer shots, especially the one of the deer trotting across the road, and it looks like you caught it with all four hooves in the air!

  19. I can tell by the quickness of this deers crossing the road...that its Mother raised no fool...and taught it not to play in traffic.
That's probably Mother keeping a eye on you from the side of the road, Janie.

  23. Glad she made it across! Someone told me that with living in Colorado, it's not "if" you hit a deer, it's "when." I sure hope it never happens to me though!
