From the looks of the trailer, we're grounded until the snow melts.
Boss is all bundled up in his winter coat and doesn't mind taking a vacation.
But he does wish that darn bird would get off his back!
With preparations for Christmas in full swing, I've had little time to post and almost no time to visit other blogs (a common problem right now, I'm sure), but I'll do my best to catch up later.
Meanwhile, happy holidays to all!

It looks like any rides will be close to home for a while. Have a merry white Christmas.
ReplyDeleteDo your mounts each get a bag of carrots?

ReplyDeleteYour snow puts ours to shame! I bet he's keeping the bird nice and warm.

Love the snow! And that bird on the horse's back - too precious!
ReplyDeleteSo what do you do in the wintertime?
ReplyDeleteOur 4 horse trailer is buried in the snow, but I pulled my 2 horse out so I have no excuse not to go somewhere if the weather hits, say 20 degrees! LOL! Okay, its been a bit better than that, but "they say" another storm is coming in!
ReplyDeleteGreat snow shots.

Janie: That snow really has to make you wish for the coming of Spring.
ReplyDeleteIt's a busy time of year, and that bird is taking a little break!

It always amazes me that critters in northern Utah and southern Utah are ok in the coldest of weather.
ReplyDeleteA bird on your back must be as annoying as a fly! Poor Boss needs a bird swatter! What beautiful snowy scenes and what a gorgeous horse Boss is!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful world full of snow. He looks cool.
ReplyDeleteJust get you a backhoe and pull that trailer outta there and head on south!
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone is going to get holiday break -- even Boss! Happy, Happy!!!
ReplyDeletehappy holidays to you and yours too!!
ReplyDeleteHi Janie,
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you got some snow - your ski areas in UT are probably celebrating! I like Boss' face in the last photo - he looks as though he's in a conundrum!
Boss looks very handsome in his winter coat, plus he wears the bird well.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the holidays!
Lovely photos Janie, and I LOVE Boss with the bird on his back, His expression tells a million tales! Don't worry about visiting - we all know that we're ALL still around. Have a blessed preparation time leading up to your family celebrations and enjoy having your loved ones around. Bless you all this Christmas. (((Hugs))) Jo xxx PS It's lovely to see snow on your photos and have the sun pouring in through my office window :>)
ReplyDeleteI really like your header photo -- the snow looks beautiful. I hope you really won't be grounded until Spring. You got a great capture of the hitch-hiker on Boss.
ReplyDeleteOh Boss, please enjoy that little company on your back. It must be feeling cold and thought your back is a nest.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snowy sensation Janie. Wish we can get half of each other's weather.
I am whistling for the Siberian wind to visit us down under. Our skin is charring!
It looks so bright and clean in Utah. Have a peaceful happy Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWe're all in the same boat not being able to post as much as we'd like right now - we all understand!! Your pictures, as always, are SOOO great! Have a Merry Christmas ~ ♥
ReplyDeleteIt appears Boss has a freeloader trying to warm up his frosty feet.
ReplyDeleteJanie, I wish you, Steve, pets and family a very Merry Christmas... plus a Health and Happy New Year.
Winter and Christmas go together!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful winter scenery. Of course, horses always improve the view!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family!
Ah, bet Boss would like a winter ride. Helped a young family w/ kids & friends get their truck out of a snowbank on my way skiing this morning--would have been easier to let it stay 'til spring, like your horse trailer. Or it would be easier if these young folks learn to keep that front wheel away from the drifted edge...
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely afflicting us all... a very busy season indeed! I adore the pics of Boss with the bird on his back, how cute is that. But I can see how that cuteness could be annoying to him. LOL
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very happy holiday season with your family & friends!!
Awww, beautiful snow pictures and the ones of Boss I love, especially the one with the bird on his back. It's a busy season. I'll be scrambling tomorrow. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays to YOU and yours! That photo with the bird is hilarious on so may levels!
ReplyDeleteBeing grounded in snow can be a good thing. It resettles the soul in a way that nothing else can quite do. (Of course we don't have snow in Florida!)
ReplyDeleteHope you and yours have a Happy Holiday.
ReplyDeleteI like birds on my shoulders as long as they leave the hair alone.
Looking forward to 2010.
Sherry
Wow ... what a beautiful wintry wonderland! Love the photos of the bird on Boss's back ... looks like there's another on the ground nearby. I always marvel at how our feathered friends cope with snowy conditions! Wishing you and yours a joyous Christmas ;-)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
My World
That's quite a bit of snow, and Boss is beauty!
ReplyDeleteFellowship, feasting, giving and receiving gifts are all the buzzwords in a Christmas setting. Make your Christmas a one to cherish for years!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holiday!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas for you and for your's beautiful family!
