Embryonic Exaltation

E is for Embryo.
A first time expectant mother becomes erudite about embryology as her progeny expands within her.
She is excited, even euphoric, as her abdomen enlarges and the baby exercises its limbs.
An examination through untrasound shows an elegant little girl in excellent form, soon to escape the womb and egotistically expect exclusive esteem, bringing even her enamored parents to the edge of exhaustion.
But in pre-parental exhilarated eagerness for their exceptional offspring to emerge, the elated couple are ecstatic.
And, I must expound, so are the enthusiastic grandparents!
(Our 4th grandchild, a girl, and the first for our daughter, will be entering the world in a few months.)
