Birds flit everywhere at 11,500 feet, on the slope of Leidy Peak. Perhaps they're enjoying the last days of summer. Steve managed to catch a few of them sitting still. Above is a White-Crowned Sparrow, identified by

ReplyDeleteWhile camping this summer we had a white capped sparrow that was quite friendly and brave. It hopped right into the campfire circle and ate our meal droppings--and we were not in a designated campsite, just out in the wild. I was very surprised by its behaviour
