The tulips are out.
Elm trees are spring green
Crabapples are blooming, and the aspens have leaves.
And the cottonwood trees are sporting catkins, their form of flowers and method of pollination. Leaves will follow.
Grass and alfalfa are coming up in the pasture. Now if we could just get the darn irrigation system working, we could grow ourselves a hay crop.
You can see the wheel line in the background. Water is coming. Maybe this week...
And I thought it was a big pain to trouble shoot OUR irrigation system! Good luck getting it up and going. You're going to need that crop to keep the horses happy and hiking.
ReplyDeleteEverything is looking so pretty there. Good luck with your irrigation system. Hope it gets going soon.
ReplyDeleteI love your Crabapple tree, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show that you don't have to leave home to find beauty. Love your assortment of trees, and your pasture showing signs of spring promise.
ReplyDeleteThe crabapples steal the show..
ReplyDeletebeautifully captured!
Such pretty tulips - one flower that doessn't seem to exist here. I do wonder if china has cottonwood trees - there were a lot of trees covered in catkins through april...hmmm. Though honestly I can barely tell an oak from a pine so who knows?!
ReplyDeleteYour place is looking beautiful! Good luck with the irrigation water.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs of spring. Oh, it is so wonderful, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! I finally saw tulips blooming here, but still not even a bud on the aspens.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was hard to put out a measly sprinkler ever day! Hooray that your irrigation system will be operational soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope your first try irrigation goes smoothly. Nice spring shots, everything is looking so green and beautiful right now!
ReplyDeleteYep, spring is definitely there!
