Long, long ago, son 1 and son 2 loved to scratch about in sandy soil until they needed scouring, at which they not-so-secretly scowled.
Only slightly spoiled, they seized the moment and enjoyed a certain savoir faire.
They had their sibling spats and spars, but they smiled in sequence and were generally inseparable.

The sons, both past 30 now, will snicker at their former selves. Their sibling, a sister, will no doubt snicker as well.

Adorable and I'll bet their still sweet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat post for a couple of cute boys! I'll bet they're still cute boys as far as you're concerned.
ReplyDeleteHow precious. Love the boots on the wrong feet in picture #2. :-D
ReplyDeleteLovely, Janie! They look like twins! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThey are very very cute!
ReplyDeleteVery cute. I have not seen a rocking horse like that in a long time.
ReplyDeleteThat first photo is a classic!
ReplyDeleteAnd about the Chinese wedding dress thing: that surprised me too. Whenever I've seen a smart Chinese wedding party, the bride is always wearing a big white frock. From what my twentysomething Chinese friends have told me, if a red dress is worn at some point, it will only be to placate a traditional grahdparent.
oh what little cutie pies....
ReplyDeleteMy two youngest sons were only 16 months apart---so they were almost like twins. I have some of the same pictures of them that you do of yours... TOO CUTE.
ReplyDeleteNow mine are 38 and 39... Time Flies.
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteAdorable boys! Thanks for great "S" photos.
ReplyDeleteDo snickering sons and sister still sleep so sweetly? :-)
ReplyDeleteAh, photos of happy times! They are (were) adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Janie, for a moment I thought I was seeing things--the second photo of your sons looks just like one I have of my two boys with the same rocking horse! They're in their thirties, too, so it must have been a popular toy back then:) It's so much fun to look back at photos of our children when they were young and relive all those precious moments. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI remembered those growing up moments clearly, mine are now 28 and 20!
ReplyDeleteOh! I LOVE the picture of Son 2 (?) in his boots and hat! He so reminds me of my own Son 2, now 24 years old! He loved to dress up too.
ReplyDeleteSweet post. :)
Awww... Now I want to see them grown up too! I'll have to do some scrollin' on your blog! :)

So much changes, but so much doesn't too. Pictures like that make you think of both.
ReplyDeleteWhat a hoot! Don't kids get a kick out of seeing their 'young' selves when they reach about 30 but not so much before? Your narrative and photos are, as always, super!
ReplyDeletenice S commentary to go with your adorable SonS!
