A few groves still maintain their full glory.
Daisy enjoys swimming with floating leaves in a reflecting pond.

Aspen surround a rock fin on the side of a mountain. Willows are in the foreground, growing along a creek.
Gold leaves hang on the spruce boughs like Christmas ornaments lit by the sun.
Just wow, so colorful. My Dad who lives north of you in Idaho reports cool mornings.

ReplyDeleteWe took the kids for a ride around the Nebo Loop the last week of September and the Fall color was the best I've seen that I can recall. It's like all trees are going at the same time this year up here rather than sequencing by elevation. Amazing!

ReplyDeleteWe very much enjoyed the golden showers of aspen leaves we enjoyed while we were hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was thrilling to see all of those beautiful aspens in all of their glory.

ReplyDeleteWe were out that way 2 weeks ago and the colors were just starting. There was also A LOT of wildfire smoke in the air so our photos aren't nearly as pretty as yours.

Outstanding! Our aspens pretty much went from green to brown with the drought, and then the 10 deg F weather this week finished them off.
