Alpine Addiction

A is for Alpine, where the ambiance achieves an amazing allure.
An ascent to the apex requires becoming acclimated to the altitude and adapted to the thin air, but if you have access to mountains, I advocate that you embrace the adventure.
I adore the views from such an angle. The air is like ambrosia, filled with scents of arnica and aster, lupine, geranium, and buttercup, sometimes around aspen.
Ambling along , one may be all alone, aloof from the cares of the world below. The view is so all-encompassing that it seems an apparition.
Absorb the abundant beauty, act in accord with nature, and be accompanied only by angels and airplanes. I assure you that you will acquire an assiduous addiction.
You can seek answers to anguish, alter an attitude, adopt the sky as your own, or advance an ambitious agenda of aerobic exercise.
May such beauty remain unaltered, always available when mankind aches for the Almighty's artistry.
Amen.

  1. I wondered if you would still play this meme after "Z", and now I know :) Alpine, and Almighty, somehow they just go together

  5. Wow Janie.... I'm impressed at ALL of your "A" words. It must have taken you awhile to write this post... I LOVE it.

Love that photo of you sitting there WAY up there in the Alpines---just taking it all in--all around you!!! Amazing!

    Hugs,

  8. In my case, "A" at airless altitude = ambulance! When you get to "B" though, beauty will be a definite key word, along with "breathing." Some of us have found the need to restrict our adventures to the lower elevations, and so are much more appreciative of those of you who bring us back the best of the mountaintops.

P.S. Absolutely love the snow scene!

But 'accompanied by angels and airplanes"? Hmm The angels only, any day for me :)

  22. Oh ... so beautiful! That first shot is stunning! It's my favourite of all of them, though all of the others are great pictures and I also love the empty landscape with the clouds.

I think I would love an alpine environment. The air alone would be worth the trip!
