Still Snowy

On this date in 2009 (and most years), the snow was almost gone in the pasture:This year, we still have 6 inches of compacted snow:
No riding yet.  Looks like we'll have to trek down to southern Utah to jump start the spring season.

  1. That is snowy, Janie. Trek across here to warm and sunny East Africa instead. (lol) Have a wonderful weekend. Jo

  2. Although the snow in your second photo looks pretty under that blue sky, I'm sorry it's delaying the start of your Spring riding season.

  3. Beautiful photos...snowy or not.
Is there any 'bring on spring' Indian dances you could do?

  4. On the upside, it's beautiful. The dramatic lighting in the sky falling down the mountains in the first photo, the horse against the snow and all the other whites set off so prettily against the deep blue sky. On the other hand, riding's FUN. Am sure you'll get out soon to do it.

  6. Hi Janie, Seems as if you all have had a late winter--whereas we had most of our snow in Dec/early Jan... Crazy winter for so many!!!!

Beautiful picture with the snow and that blue sky.
    Hugs,

  8. Ah, my pony always looks kind of dingy in the snow thanks to her flea bites. Very cute pictures!

  17. You do have a lot more snow than usual. Does that mean it's usually spring there at this time of year?
