Flower Power

I love blossoms that come back year after year with no effort on my part.
Maybe I should do some weeding, just to say "thank you."

  2. Flowers that keep returning on their own are sweet. Gorgeous pictures, the purple blossoms are fascinating!

  3. I couldn't have said it better! My garden is in dire need of some care! It's the least I could do to say thank you too...

  4. Weeds deserve to live too. The flowers are just more colorful. Low maintenance garden's are the best.

  5. Beautiful Janie. We have alot of perennials also---and it's nice to see them come back each year. The only problem we have is when the chipmunks and squirrels dig up the bulbs thinking they are nuts.... Geeeesssshhh!!!

I love your Iris. Why do you need to weed???? I see NO weeds--only beautiful flowers.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  8. You've got some beautiful flowers, Janie. I really like that iris. I also need to do some weeding to say 'thank you' to our flowers, but I keep finding excuses for not doing it.

  9. They are the best, the ones which do not need pampering. They are all beautiful and look so fresh. It is a beautiful time of the year when good friends return.
    The wildflowers are gorgeous too.

Sweet memories with the letter S.
Lovely posts, Janie, I do enjoy them all.

  10. No effort for those beautiful flowers?!! I am so jealous. Someday (when the little people are older) I will spend more time figuring out plants that will survive our cold or how to help them survive. I'm sure with more time I could do some experimentation. Keep showing us your yard...I love it!

  13. Oooh, that first flower is gorgeous. Don't think I've seen anything like that before.

I just love perennials. I'm still enjoying a garden planted by the people who lived here before us, 16years ago.

  14. Yes, I need to plant some of those myself. Planting flowers every year is for suckers!

  17. Love them perennials & volunteers. We go through the occasional paroxysm of weeding, but if you have a beer & relax in the sun, it almost always passes!

  18. Ah! Your Columbines are gorgeous!! I'm used to the pale blue Colorado Columbines, but I love the bright purple on yours.
