We arrived in the area about 9:45 p.m. in late July. It was just about to get dark, but as the sky gave way to night time, a FULL MOON came out and we were able to hike down the ridge and find Cowboy Cave by Full Moon light. We climbed into the cave and spend about 1/2 hour looking around. Not much to look at at midnight, using flashlights, and not knowing anything about the place. The hike in and out was very interesting due to the fact that a large number of wild burros were braying. Hideous sounds in the middle of the night. Very fun trip, once in my lifetime.CompArtByGoHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08255845655007457290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5953120750947919339.post-82878026544723609922011-04-07T15:14:40.336-06:002011-04-07T15:14:40.336-06:00You and Steve find the most awesome places in the ...You and Steve find the most awesome places in the middle of nowhere USA.. great cave shot, Janie.

hugs,
Pampennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07696361625481123431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5953120750947919339.post-86708078742811065302011-04-07T11:37:09.920-06:002011-04-07T11:37:09.920-06:00The cave is so huge and what a beautiful view from...The cave is so huge and what a beautiful view from it.
